FEASTS partners Gourmey and Vital Meat have joined forces to create PARIMA, a new global platform accelerating the sustainable production of cultured meat. The merger unites two of Europe’s most innovative food-tech companies to drive a shift in how the production of high-quality animal proteins, directly from cells, without the need for traditional livestock farming.
Gourmey, France’s pioneering cultivated food company, brings its full-stack production model and premium cultivated duck products, already validated by Michelin-starred chefs and verified at production costs below €7/kg. Vital Meat contributes its advanced poultry cell-line technology rooted in nearly 25 years of research at Groupe Grimaud, a global leader in animal genetics and biotechnology.

Together, PARIMA is building one of the world’s most advanced cross-species platforms for cell-cultured food, starting with duck and chicken and aiming to scale across markets, from fine dining to large-scale food systems. With over 15 patent families and 70+ patent applications, PARIMA holds one of the strongest IP portfolios in the cultured protein sector.
The company also leads the field in regulation, with nine active regulatory filings progressing across key global markets including the EU, UK, US, and Asia-Pacific — putting PARIMA on track to become the first in the world approved for two species: duck and chicken.
“This is the right moment for consolidation and scale,” said Nicolas Morin-Forest, CEO of PARIMA. “By uniting two pioneering teams, we’re strengthening Europe’s ability to lead the global shift toward efficient and sustainable animal production through innovation.”
